TLDR: Shirobon verification status is now disallowed. A few tracks are licensed to Afterbeat and can still be used. Old levels don’t have to be taken down.
Shocking news, but Shirobon’s music now has to be licensed for use. The reason for verification change has to do with his growth as a producer, and him working under a company, which means they handle licensing.
Some tracks have already been licensed to Afterbeat for story mode, and are allowed in custom levels, too. These are—as of 2026-07-28T03:26:00Z,—exclusively:

I have signed to a publisher who handles the licensing to my catalogue now, so future songs in games have to be officially licensed sadly!Previous fan levels aren’t affected, this is just for future song usage. My tracks which are officially licensed for the game are still good to use
