Project Elevatia is a connected multiverse of several stories created in Project Arrhythmia. All of them are meant to be independent, but they all are somehow connected to the Navigator Stars. Those are godlike celestial beings that watch over and protect the multiverse by recruiting and sending “heroes” to individual worlds to protect them. Alongside all the stories involved in it, Project Elevatia has its own greater-scope story as well. We’re talking multiversal war, the founding of the Navigator Stars, and loads more. Each story takes place at a different point in this greater story.
This thread is about Project Elevatia as a whole - please use threads for the storylines in it to talk about them, if they exist. Also, please note this is not an open-to-join project - everyone here is here because they’re a friend and I trust them, and I’m not interested in trying to wrangle even more together in this right now.
To catch up and get all the info out in the public, here’s a summary of the lore bits I’ve posted in PE’s Discord thread in the Vitamin Games server AND elsewhere:
Summary
Most stories in Project Elevatia take place in a different universe in a multiverse.
Each universe has a star assigned to watch over it. Navigator stars are basically celestial, godlike beings who operate out of Elevatia, a universe pretty much tailor-made for what they do
When there’s a problem on a universe, they send in a hero from somewhere else to go fix it. They give heroes three white crystals that grant them the power to phase through objects and see danger before it happens (basically PA gameplay lmao)
Navigator stars themselves try to not intervene beyond guiding heroes becauase they’re so powerful. Key word is try
This whole thing started with Nova, the first Navigator Star, who was given a vision of who they’d guide by a voice from beyond (depicted in the level Birth of the Sun
Magic and such
Hero phasing works by temporairly turning someone into light.
All navigator stars use light magic. Light magic is less of a magic system and more of a really flexible tool.
Magic systems unique to other universes are a common subject of Star research, but are rarely used by other stars. However, that doesn’t mean it’s forbidden, it’s just usually less convenient to use them since they could be tied to a specific universe/location. A lot of Elevatia’s infrastructure is built around light magic anyways, and light magic can work literally anywhere there is light (and navigator stars give off ambient light.)
A lot of stars use “light weapons” forged from light in attacks.
